About Luz Chacón

Wellness Coach | Consultant | Founder of Live-Work Well

I’m Luz Chacón, a bilingual Wellness Coach and Consultant with over 30 years of experience in health and social services. I help midlife women regain their energy, reduce stress, and reset their health—and I support mission-driven organizations to prevent burnout and promote wellbeing in the workplace. 

 

Before launching my coaching and consulting business, I spent decades working in the nonprofit health and social services sector. I hold a Master’s in Public Health and advanced certifications in health coaching, Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT/Tapping), and trauma-informed EFT.


But I don’t just bring credentials—I bring lived experience. As a single mom who transformed her own health in midlife, I understand the pressures of caregiving, stress, and putting your own needs last. I also understand the challenges of leading teams and serving vulnerable communities within the nonprofit sector where stress and burnout are common.


I’ve coached private clients since 2013 and provided workplace wellness services for over 8 years. My practice includes individual coaching, group programs, and organizational consulting—all grounded in mind-body modalities, compassion, and cultural humility.

Why I do this work

My Healing Journey

After working in managerial roles for many years, I decided to enroll in the Institute for Integrative Nutrition Health Coach Training Program. While my goal was to increase my capacity to coach others, this decision transformed my own health. I discovered that many of the symptoms I was experiencing —fatigue, brain fog, digestive issues, and mood swings—were rooted in an imbalanced gut microbiome and hormonal changes. By improving my eating habits and rebalancing my lifestyle, I reclaimed my health. That experience inspired me to help other women navigate the health challenges that occur in midlife and beyond.


Once I started coaching, I saw how hard it was for my clients to make healthy changes while carrying chronic stress and unhealed emotional wounds. That’s why I integrated EFT/Tapping into my work—to help people release the patterns, beliefs, and emotional triggers that often get in the way of lasting change.

My Approach

Mind-Body Wellness That Lasts

Whether I’m coaching an individual or consulting with a team, I focus on the key pillars of sustainable wellness: stress reduction, nutrition, movement, sleep, emotional regulation, and detoxification. My training in functional nutrition and trauma-informed care allows me to address root causes, including physical imbalances and emotional roadblocks.


I meet clients and teams where they are—with empathy, evidence-based tools, and a deep understanding of what it takes to make real, lasting change.
