EFT is a cognitive, somatic, and energetic modality that combines Eastern and Western healing practices. The cognitive part means that it can help you reframe thoughts and beliefs.
The somatic part means that it works on the body, not just the mind. This is critical for releasing stress and healing trauma since both stress and trauma are stored in the nervous system.
The energetic part means that it helps stuck energy move through the body.
By tapping with your fingers on certain acupressure points, it allows you to release the emotions, old patterns, and limiting beliefs that are getting in the way of achieving what you want.
Some refer to EFT as emotional acupuncture because you tune into the feeling, belief, or event to restore balance to the body's energy system.
Tapping is effective because it reduces the stress hormone, cortisol, lessens the intensity of negative emotions, and helps rewire the brain. It works on many issues including phobias, pain, anxiety, trauma, and much more.
