How EFT Tapping Works

A science-backed approach to releasing stress, trauma, and stuck patterns

Emotional Freedom Techniques — commonly known as EFT or Tapping — is a scientifically validated mind-body method that combines elements of cognitive therapy, somatic healing, and acupressure. In other words, it works on the mind, the body, and the nervous system at the same time.


Here's how: while tuning into a specific thought, feeling, or memory, you tap with your fingers on specific acupressure points on the face and body. This sends a calming signal to the brain's stress response, reducing cortisol, lessening the intensity of negative emotions, and helping rewire neural pathways that keep you stuck in old patterns.


Think of it as emotional acupuncture without the needles. Rather than talking about a problem indefinitely, Tapping helps you process and release it at the level where it actually lives: in the body and nervous system.


Research shows EFT is effective for anxiety, trauma, phobias, chronic pain, food cravings, and more. Many clients notice a shift after just one session.

I offer individual EFT Tapping sessions for clients navigating stress, anxiety, emotional eating, food cravings, self-doubt, limiting beliefs, and other stuck patterns. I specialize in working with midlife women, particularly those in caregiving and mission-driven roles who have spent years prioritizing everyone else and are now ready to do the deeper work of healing and reclaiming their wellbeing.
